Chez Gèrard: Covent Garden

After a night of tottering around London sipping on champagne and Mojito's in 6 inch heals for Vogue's Fashion Night Out, we found our selfs in Covent Garden in need of a bite to eat and soft drink.

A local club promoter tried tempting us into a near by club and in return he was faced with 'where is good to eat?' probably not what he was expecting to hear, but kindly pointed us in a few directions.

After wandering around Covent Gardens Plazza and completely forgetting all directions given we took a turn up a small airy stone stair case and before we knew it were sat outside under the night sky browsing a menu in French.

A resturant, bar and brasserie known as Chez Gèrard that offers a french dinning experience (hence the menu being in french) cooked with the freshest of ingredients.

I ordered the Salade de Lègumes from the Á La Carte menu which was a cold salad of artichokes, fine beans, baby leeks, tomatoes and mushrooms with a side of fries.

Although it does looks very green the falvours together were fantastic and the fries cooked to absolute perfection.

The menu caters for all tastes and has a particular reputation for its steaks. With its meat sourced from 24 farms across the west country and 'Cou Nu' chicken from Landes France this most certainly is something not to tried.

Its drinks menu was just as beautiful as its food menu from world wines to champagne, cocktails to mocktails and water to coffee.

We sipped mocktails and talked the evening away.
I have to say mocktails are the best way of ending an evening of drinking, they look just as beautiful as cocktails and leave you hangover free the next morning.

Thankyou of a lovely dinner the perfect end to an amazing night out.

So if your ever in Covent Garden and in need of a drink with the girls or off on a romantic dinner date be sure to check out Chez Gèrard.

(sorry about the quality of the photos, these were taken on my blackberry)
